The Legacy Abbey Hotel
Address Near Chepstow
Tintern
Monmouthshire
NP16 6SF
No. Bedrooms 23
The Abbey Hotel sits in a prime location on the side of the beautiful Wye Valley. We are overlooking the ruins of the famous Tintern Abbey. Parts of the building date back to 1206 when it was inside the original precinct wall of the Abbey, and some remaining arches in the hotel have the same aspects as can be seen in the Abbey ruins. To keep pace with increasing visitor trade, the hotel was upgraded over the years until, in 2002, it was completely refurbished by its current owners, Robert Cook and David George. The suite of function rooms, entrance foyer, barbecue garden and terrace are perfect for any occasion, from a small boardroom meeting to a function serving 100 people. In fact the Abbey Hotel is fast becoming a prime venue for that most special occasion of all. The Abbey Hotel enjoys 3 star ratings from the Welsh Tourist Board and the AA. It also holds the prestigious Welcome Host Gold Award Hotel- the only one in Monmouthshire. In March 2004 the hotel was presented The Green Dragon Award for its work on environmental action. For business, leisure or tourism, the Abbey Hotel is a delight for discerning people who enjoy being spoiled. With twenty-three luxuriously appointed rooms, ample parking, the glorious views of the historic Abbey ruins and the delightful wooded Wye Valley, you'll want to return again and again to the traditional country hotel with state-of-the art facilities.

Chepstow
Monmouthshire
NP16 5EZ
No. Bedrooms 14
Built about 300 years ago as a private residence originally called Woodfield House, this charming hotel offers an unrivalled view of Chepstow Castle, located just across the road. Castle View Hotel provides warm and friendly accommodation in a cosy little hotel situated on the outskirts of the town of Chepstow, on the English/Welsh border by the banks of the River Severn. The historic nature of the hotel creates a charming atmosphere and it is even possible that the stones used in the building may have come from Chepstow castle, which by that time had fallen into disuse. The aim of the hotel is to offer you comfortable accommodation, good food and personal attention in surroundings which retain the charm of the 18th century and boast some outstanding views of the surrounding area.

Wye Valley Hotel
Address Near Chepstow
Tintern
Monmouthshire
NP16 6SQ
No. Bedrooms 9
Ideally placed between the historic towns of Monmouthshire and Chepstow. Tintern is in the heart of the Wye Valley, and all of the attractions it has to offer. The poet Wordsworth described Wye as the most romantic valley in Wales. Little has changed since he penned those lines and the Wye river still wends its way by Tintern, its abbey and forest. The hotel dates back to 1835 when it was a small alehouse known as The Carpenters Arms. In 1909 the building was renamed and extended to its current form. Both the bar and restaurant are open to non-residents and is popular with locals and tourists alike. Using fresh local produce, we aim to provide a range of food to suite your individual tastes - from bar snacks to a la carte meals. Special dietary requirements are catered for on request. With a total of nine en suite rooms the owners, Sue and Barry Cooke, pride themselves on being available to give individual attention to their guests to ensure that their stay is as relaxing and enjoyable as it can possibly be.
