A hotel has stood on the site of The Kings Arms and Royal Hotel since 1358, and former guests include Henry VIII, whom ordered the former inn to be built in celebration of the arrival of the navy in Portsmouth. 15 brand new rooms are designed in a boutique style, and a brand new kitchen area offers traditional English fare from its newly constructed menus. A function room can accommodate a conference or party of 12 to 50 people.
